Adazi Secondary school

Our school is the largest among the countryside schools in our country. 1052 students study here this year! This number is quite a challenge to organize daily routines and activities for all scholars. However, it has been successfully managed for the last years.

Such a number of students also means more opportunities to involve them into various kinds of clubs, extra- curricula activities! Our school has actively taken part in some European projects, but I consider there are more possibilities! Students just need motivation and realistic aims.

In our school we have outstanding folk dance traditions, which Latvia is really famous for, variety of local events, like singing and sports ( this one we beat almost every single school of the region...), students' parliament, school webpage, and many other things that students can be busy with on daily basis!

I have contacted several teachers from Europe through eTwinning.net and discussed about different project ideas. What appeals to me most is possibility to improve the learning process and make it versatile. Students are interested in modern methods, global trends that are topical for millions of other teens across the globe. We share similar ideas, thought, the only difference is country's peculiarities and there are such, I believe.

I really like the ideas that can be well developed and students have motivation and ideas. These topics basically are around our everyday life and how we live, what we do, how we make our life better... at the same time our life at school- not everything depends on funding from our governments...:)

I have some ideas and would like to share with my colleagues from other schools!
See you all there!
